The MICRO IRHD SYSTEM is a hardness testing machine controlled by a Hildebrand MS-Windows software. 2 weights are automatically lowered and raised. Thus this system eliminates operator errors while testing.

Macro IRHD Systems

Durometer Hardness System provides hardness readings on elastomers and plastics with a specimen thicker than 6 mm according to IRHD and Durometer hardness. It complies to international standards DIN ISO 48, ISO 48, ASTM D 1415 and DIN 53505.

Center Device

O-Ring Center Device

The patented O-Ring Center Device fully automatically cooperates with the MICRO IRHD SYSTEM. O-Rings with a cord dia. of 0.6 mm to 8 mm will just be placed on the measuring table and pushed to the positioning pin. The cord dia. is keyed into the MICRO IRHD software. Integrated electric motors are exactly driving the measuring table to the measuring axis. This results in measuring the highest position of the O-ring.
  • System enables exact measuring at the measuring axis i.e. the highest point of the ORing, see fig. 4
  • O-Ring cord dia. 0.6 mm to 8 mm, adjustable steps of 0.01 mm
  • Fully automatic measuring cycle
  • While measuring the pin is in rest position (in), the O-Ring is lying freely on the measuring table, no lateral influences

Center Device with sample holder

The Center Device with sample holder fully automatically cooperates with the MICRO IRHD SYSTEM. This fixture is designed to measure O-Rings and round style parts.
For each sample you need a sample holder.

Each sample holder has an identification number. The identification number is keyed into the MICRO IRHD software. An integrated electric motor is driving the measuring table to the exact position of the measuring axis. The machine is now measuring the sample. After the first measuring the sample holder can be rotated to measure at a different spot.

X-Table Center Device

X-Table Center device with digital gauge is cooperating with the MICRO IRHD SYSTEM. This fixture is designed to measure small irregular parts. Two straight pins are used as rest positions for the sample. The sample can be easily fixed with modelling clay. The digital gauge enables exact measuring at the measuring axis i.e. the highest point of the sample.

This platform can be clamped onto the IRHD support table by means of three screws - without using any tools.

The larger platform allows testing of larger samples.

Durometer

Durometer HD3000

Durometer Model HD3000 is our standard model. The gauge features a full-sized non-reflective dial face for readability accuracy of 1/2 point. The durometer conforms to DIN ISO 7619, ISO 868, ISO 7619 and ASTM D 2240. Model HD3000 offers maximum accuracy available in a dial model gauge at minimum cost.

Special Durometer HD3000L

Type 1:

Slim Probe 1, foot DIA. 8 mm for hard to reach areas or irregular shapes.

Slim Probe 2, DIA. 5.0 mm. A thinner foot for reaching hard to get places or irregular shapes. Custom designed durometers conform to the Hildebrand Company standard.
